《路加福音》5章1-11节

I want to share with you from the Gospel of Luke verse one to eleven only, so do not worry, I wouldn’t share the whole chapter, otherwise you wouldn’t want to be go home. 今晚我只同大家一同来思考路加福音（5章）1到11节，如果是我和大家一同来思考一整章的话，我们就是今天不回家啦。Now，if we look at the Gospel of Luke, we notice that the ministry of Jesus comprise at least three aspects.如果我们看路加福音，我们看到耶稣的事奉包含了三方面。The first aspect is: Healing, for example if you look at the Luke chapter four, verse 38 to 42, we notice that Jesus went to Simon’s house and heal his mother-in-law, and later, we notice that many sick people came to him, he healed them and cast demons. 所以第一方面的事奉呢，就是医病赶鬼。如果我们看路加福音第四章38到42节，我们看到耶稣进了西门的家，医好了西门的岳母，然后呢，他也医好了很多的人，甚至赶出了一些鬼。所以，医病赶鬼是耶稣事奉的第一部分。
The second aspect is, we see Jesus preaching the good news of the Kingdom. For example, the Book of Luke chapter 4 verse42 to44, the crowds came to Jesus, and Jesus told them: “ I have to go to other places as well, and preach the good news.” 第二方面呢，就是我们看到他传讲天国的福音，路加福音第四章42节到44节，一大清早，耶稣出去到一个偏僻的地方祷告，有人来找他，然后耶稣对他们说：“我必须到其它的地方去传讲这福音。”
The third aspect is, Jesus taught . he’s teaching. In Luke chapter five, we notice that Jesus taught crowds of people very often, we see this in the ministry of Jesus. 所以第三方面呢，我们就是看到耶稣教导众人，耶稣在世的时候，我们看到很多时候群众围绕着他，他就跟他们讲解一些道理。
So , to Jesus, taking care of physical needs of people and preaching the good news of Kingdom cannot be separate. Sometimes we have some Christians focus on entirely evangelism do not bode about physical well-being of others, and then, another group, they just focus on social work, but do not talk about Gospel. We need to give both together. 对耶稣来说，照顾人身体上的需要和传讲天国的信息是不可以分开的。所以我们在事奉方面也要注意到这两方面：属灵的需要和人身体方面的需要。For another aspect is we notice that in the ministry of Jesus, he taught crowds, he shared the good news with big crowds, but at the same time, he also spend time with individuals. For example, in chapter five, he single be with Peter ,Simon Peter, and spend time with him. So, we need to keep both aspect as well. 我们看到当耶稣事奉的时候，很多时候是向群众讲解天国的信息，可是，在他跟群众讲的时候，他也不忽略个人的需要。所以在第五章我们看到他对群众讲了，他就对西门讲，过后他就呼招了一些人来跟随他，来训练他们。所以我们在事奉方面呢，也要注意这两方面：群众的需要和个人的需要。
Ok, now let’s look at Luke chapter five in some details. The very important aspect of studying the Bible is that we need to observe the text very carefully, we need to observe the details.查经一个很重要的步骤呢，就是我们要仔细地观察经文的细节。So we need to ask for example : Who are the people in all? What happen? Where did this take place?路加福音第5章1到11节是属于叙事文，所以当我们看这些经文的时候，我们就要问这段经文里面的人物到底是谁？发生了什么事情？地点是在哪里？时间大概在什么时候？Ok, if we look the text of Luke chapter five verse one, we notice that Jesus, the crowds of people get around him. Jesus was teaching the people and crowds were impressing, coming closer and closer to hear him. 人物呢，我们看到有耶稣，有群众，群众拥挤上前来要听他讲道。What about location?地点在哪里？Lake of Gennesaret，Lake of Gennesaret is also sometimes called the sea of Galilee. It is actually a lake ,it is a big lake, about 21km long ,about 13km width ,so some time it’s called sea.所以地点呢是革尼撒勒湖，有时候这地方又被称为加利利海，因为这个湖是比较大的。This is not unusual , if you are going to Dali, you know the Dali there is also called Erhai, it is actually a lake , we call it sea。 同样地我们到大理，我们知道大理有一个地方叫洱海，它其实是个湖，对吗？我们称它为海，古时候的人也这样子。Now , As I speak if you have any question ,please feel free to raise your hand.我讲的时候，如果你们有什么疑问的，可以举手发问，我们可以有些交流。（待续）

OK, because crowd coming closer and closer, Jesus saw there were two boats there, at the shore, and fisherman has gone out of boat and washing the nets, now ,why do they washing the nets? Maybe because they need to cleaning things before they go home.好，第二句， 我们看到有两只船,渔夫在洗网,对吗？洗网就是也许他们准备把网洗好了就回家了。And Verse there , Jesus got into the boats that belongs to Simon and ask them to put a little far away the shore.我们看耶稣上了西门的船，然后叫他把船撑开，稍微离岸。Now, if you were Simon , you had worked for the whole night, and you were finishing clean your net. You must be pretty tired by how . A stranger got inside your boat and rust you boat out , will you obey? 西门已经整夜劳累工作，应该是很累了，网也基本上洗好了，一个陌生人上了他的船叫他把船撑开他还会听从吗？这里看起来有点奇怪，他听从了。And then , second part of verse three , Jesus seat down and taught crowds, from the boat ,耶稣坐下教导众人。Why do you think Jesus sat down and taught people ?想一想耶稣为什么坐下来呢？Was he tired? Was Jesus tired? Or it is because he it is difficult to keep himself balance on boat？ 耶稣为什么坐下来呢？是不是他累了？或者是因为这艘船在湖中，站着平衡自己不太容易，所以他坐下来？Now according to Jews custom , A teacher sits down to teach ,so when Jesus sat down , he’s taking on the position of a teacher . he’s taking on the posture of a teacher.根据犹太人的传统，犹太人的老师（拉比）是坐下来教导众人的，所以当耶稣坐下来，他是说，我现在是以老师的身份来教导。This is big different from Chinese culture. (众笑)Chinese culture , teacher stands up to teach ，student sits down to listen.华人的传统呢，老师是站着教的，学生是坐着的。If this is a Jews synagogue, then you are teachers, (众笑) I’m student.如果我们今天是在犹太人的教堂，你们都是老师了，因为你们是坐着的，我是学生。
Ok, and then we found that after Jesus has finished teaching the crowd, he asked Simon to put the boat further away from the shore and let down the nets, for the catch. Now this is something surprising. Jesus is carpenter’s son, what dose he know about fishing ? Simon is a professional fisherman, and here, we find a carpenter’s son trying to teach a professional fisherman how to fish. This is some how surprising! 耶稣教导众人以后，就叫西门把船开到水深之处，下网打鱼，这个其实有点奇怪呵，因为耶稣是一个木匠的儿子，木匠的儿子懂得打鱼吗？他现在是要教西门专业的渔夫打鱼，这个看起来的确是有点奇怪。Simon said：“Master , we have worked all night，we didn’t catch anything .” In another , words, Simon said：“ teacher , we are really tired, the nets ,we had already washed our nets, and what you see dose not quiet make a sense ? night time is best time for fishing to catch fish. Now ,it wasn’t that time, it is morning .” 西门说: “夫子，我们整夜劳碌什么也没打着”，换句话说，西门是说：“我们工作一整晚了，很累了，麻烦你不要再给我添麻烦了。网已经洗好了，现在你又叫我下网”. But , what we notice that ? Simon obeyed! 可是我们看到西门虽然不同意，可是他还是遵从了耶稣的话。
And then, we found another surprise----they caught so many fish. They perhaps that was the biggest catch in their life in their career. 可是奇怪的事情又发生了，他们那一网打下去，打着了好多好多的鱼，也许是他们一生中捕到最多鱼的一次了。Now, if you were a fisherman and you caught so many fish, definitely, you will be very happy, right? Well, what did Simon do? He said: “ Lord , depart from me, go away from me.” 更奇怪的事情又发生了，捉到了这么多的鱼，对一个渔夫来说，这是一件很好的事情，可是，西门却对耶稣说：“主啊！离开我！” if I were Simon, I would beg Jesus to stay with me, show me where to fish. I will give you 20 percent of I have got, good for you, and good for me, the win-win situation. 假如我是西门的话，我想我会要求耶稣留下来！教我在什么地方捕鱼。捕到的，我会给你百分之二十，对你好！对我也好！这个是双赢的办法！可是，西门却叫耶稣离开！so, what Simon actually saying is “let me send you to the shore, when you got into my boat this morning. You go your way, I go my way, do not have anything to do with me, because I am a sinner. ” 西门的意思是说：“让我把你载到岸上去，你上岸，你走你的，我走我的，我们互不相关。”他同时也说，他是一个罪人，对吗？ So，notice that if you look at Luke chapter 5 , verse 5, Simon called Jesus “ Master” right? But, in verse 8, Simon called Jesus “ Lord”. 所以我们在第五节看到西门称耶稣为 “夫子”， 可在第8节，称他为“主”。这在称呼上有些区别了。 What dose this means? Simon knew that he caught fish is nothing less a miracle, and because of that, suddenly he realized his own sin. 我想这个称呼上的区别呢，就是因为西门晓得他能够捕到这么多的鱼，这肯定是一个神迹，同时呢，他也深深地感觉到他是一个罪人。因为之前西门跟耶稣已经有了接触。
Now prize to this, Simon already have some encounter with Jesus. We notice that Luke chapter 4:38-42, if the cramer logical order is correct, we notice that Jesus went to Simon’s house and healed his mother-in-law, right? So, they already knew each other. That’s why perhaps in Luke chapter 5 , when Jesus got into his boat and asked him to put out shore a little, he obeyed, although he already very tired. And that’s why when Jesus asked him put down the nets for a catch, although he does not agree, but he obeyed, because they had already knew each other.我想，我们可以得到一个结论就是在路加福音第5章之前西门跟耶稣已经有了一些接触。如果根据第4章、第5章的写法是按照时间的次序来编写的，在路加4：38-42节我们看到耶稣进了西门的家，医好了他的岳母，他们已经有了一些接触，已经认识了。所以在第5章，虽然西门已经劳苦工作了一整夜，耶稣上了他的船，叫他把船撑开，他也是同样遵守。过后，耶稣叫他下网打鱼，虽然根据他专业的经验——白天打鱼是没有什么意义的，他不同意，可是，他也听从了耶稣的话。And so, in chapter 5 through this miracle catch fish, he realize his own sin and he want Jesus to be away from him.所以在第五章，经过捕鱼的神迹，他深深地感觉到他本身的罪，所以他求耶稣离开他。In other words, he found he unworthy to be with Jesus, so he beg Jesus to go away. 也就是说，他觉得他自己本身不配跟耶稣在一起，所以他要求耶稣离开。But then we notice that Jesus ask him not to be afraid, and then he invited Simon to follow him.耶稣对西门说：“不要怕”然后邀请他来跟随耶稣。Now, Look at the text, observe the text in some detail, and this careful observation help us to better understand the text. 我们刚才用了一点点时间来仔细地观察这段经文的细节。那么，通过这些观察呢，能帮助我们更好了解这段经文的教导。
So, now, what does this passage mean for us? What Implication does this passage for us? 这段经文对我们今天有什么意义呢？I want to share with you three points. 我们来看三点。First is that: Calling. God calls Simon, God calls us, It’s entirely a matter of God’s grace and love. 第一点就是：呼召。上帝怎样呼召西门，上帝怎样呼召我们。这——完全是上帝的恩典和慈爱。Imagining you were Jesus, you have very important task to do on earth. What kind of people will you choose to be your disciples to carry on that work? 假设你是耶稣，你在世上有很重要的任务，对吗？你会选什么样的人来跟随你？来继续这项重大的工作？Well, I guess, you might look for someone who is educated, who is intelligent , who is influential. But this fisherman, whole body smells fishily, fish smell, and later he called some tax collectors. Tax collectors were working for the oppressors. 如果我们是耶稣，也许我们会选那些有聪明的、智慧的、有权势的、有本领的人来跟随他。这些满身鱼腥味的渔夫，还有那些税吏， 税吏是罗马帝国的走狗啦，选这些人来跟随他，好像不太对劲啊？！Somehow that’s how God works. About support, Paul said in Book 1 Corinthians chapter one verse 26-29 has this to say. 我们看到上帝拣选人跟我们世人的看法可能有些不同呵。保罗在哥林多前书第一章26-29 节,这么说：“Bothers and sisters, consider your own call, when you were call, not many of you were wise by human standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. Somehow, God calls you to shame the wise, to shame the intelligent.” 保罗说：“弟兄姐妹们，可见当你们蒙召的时候，有聪明智慧的、有能力的不多，可是，上帝却拣选了你们。The same thing happen today, perhaps not many of us are wise or powerful when God calls us. But somehow, God calls us to be his children and give us privilege of following him and in the ministry.我们今天也是这样，上帝呼召我们，也让我们有机会参与事奉。So it is entirely a matter of God’s grace and love that we can serve. 能够事奉是完全出自于上帝的恩典和慈爱。
Second aspect is that God’s calls comes to us, what do we to do? So the second aspect is obedience. We notice that Simon and his partners obeyed and followed Jesus.第二点呢， 就是我们看到西门和他的伙伴顺服，然后跟随耶稣。If you look at verse 10, Jesus said to Simon “ Do not be afraid, from now on, you will be catching people.”第十节耶稣对西门说：“不要怕，从今以后，你要得人了。”这句话是对西门说的， 对吗？跟随他的是谁呢？是西门和他的伙伴。他的伙伴把耶稣对西门的话也应用在他们的身上，所以他们也跟随了，这个是正确的，是对的。Although Jesus spoke the words to Simon alone, “ Do not be afraid, from now on, you will be catching man”, but Simon’s partners took those words and applied to themselves, and they followed Jesus as well, and this is a correct things to do, a wise thing to do. And notice that this mater of following Jesus does not happened only ones. It’s a matter of following Jesus over and over again repeatedly following Jesus. 那么这跟随耶稣不只是一次跟随而已，而是不断的跟随。If you remember, when Jesus was arrested, Simon denied him, the other apostle run away. And if you look at the Gospel of John chapter 21, then by the sea of Tiberias, we found that Simon and his friends were out fishing again. That night, they caught nothing and somebody on the shore said: “Put down the net to the right side of boat” , and then there was another miracle. Jesus calls them again to follow him, although they have felled.跟随耶稣不只是一次的跟随，而是不断的跟随。当耶稣被抓的那一夜，我们看到西门三次不认主、其他的门徒也逃走了，害怕逃走了，不认主了。在约翰福音第21章，我们看到在提比哩亚海边，西门和其他的门徒也还是同样出海捕鱼，那一夜他们什么也没捕着，然后，岸边有一个人说：“把网下在船的右边”同样的一个神迹又发生了，他们捉到好多好多的鱼！耶稣借着那一个神迹再一次呼召西门和他的伙伴来跟随他。So following Jesus is not only a one time event, he comes to us, we follow him over and over again, even we fell, and God’s calling to us over and over again, and each time, God calls us, God wants us to follow him more closely. God wants us to have a deep commitment to what’s him.所以上帝的呼召不只是一次的临到我们的身上，而是多次的临到我们的身上，就算是我们失败了，上帝同样的呼召了我们，呼唤了我们的名;然后，每一次上帝的呼召临到我们的时候，上帝需要我们更紧紧的跟随他，更进一步的顺服他。God does not abandon us, he comes to us over and over again. 上帝不放弃我们，虽然我们软弱，所以他的呼召不断的临到我们的身上。
Now, very quickly, the third aspect. 好，第三点，Do not be afraid.不要怕。I think there are many things they can make us afraid. Becoming Christian, sometimes can be afeard things as well because you do not know what it is untilled, you do not know what will happen, you do know whether we will be cast, whether we will be suffered. 跟随耶稣，有时候也可能是一件所谓相当可怕的，是因为我们不知道会发生什么事情，我们不知道是否能付出那个代价，我们不知道跟随耶稣会不会导致我们受苦。But, you look around, there are many Christian here, and we are all seems ok.如果你周围看一下，周围好多基督徒，大家也是好好的，没什么事啊。Because Jesus promises us that he will be with us, we will feel not alone. He will walk with us, he will hold our hands, even though we go through deep waters, even though we go through fire trials.因为耶稣应许我们，他会跟我们同在，虽然我们可能是经过水、经过火的试炼，耶稣会牵着我们的手，与我们同行。So, we do not need to be afraid. There is phrase says: “A journey of thousand miles begins with the first step.” Once we take the first step, we will not be afraid. If we afraid, we are not dare to do anything. But, once the first step by faith, the rest will follow step by step, and you’ll find, O it’s fine.有时候，当我们害怕的时候，我们是什么事情都不敢做，可是有句成语说：“千里路是起于第一步”，对吗？我们第一步踏出去了，一步一步累积下来千里路就完成了。
Ok, so this evening there is very simple I share with you three main lessons I can see from this passage. One is： Calling is a mass of God’s grace and love. Secondly, we need to respond with obedience ,and thirdly we do not need to be afraid, because Jesus is with us each step of the way. 所以今天我跟大家一同思考的就是三方面，应用这段经文： 第一就是呼召是完全出自上帝的恩典和慈爱。第二点就是我们要顺服，要跟随耶稣；第三点呢，就是我们不用怕，因为每一步耶稣都牵着我们的手与我们同行。So, just as the call came to Simon and his friends about 2000 years ago, today God is calling us by name as well, asking us to follow him. We need to step out by faith, following Jesus. He gives us something very useful to be in walk with, something very meaningful, to share that good news with us. 将近2000年前，耶稣的呼召临到西门和他的伙伴的身上，今天同样地耶稣在轻轻的呼唤我们每一个人的名， 要我们跟随他，要分予我们一项很重要很有意义的工作就是：把天国的福音传开。So, May God bless each one of us as， we study his word as we reflect his word and it is applied his word to our life. 愿上帝祝福我们每一个人！愿我们也能通过学习，把上帝的话语应用在我们每个人的身上！ 谢谢大家！（众鼓掌）
